The main indexes of grinding machine spindle characteristic measurement are rotation accuracy, stiffness and speed adaptability.
① Rotation accuracy: the radial and axial runout in the direction affecting the machining accuracy when the spindle rotates (see geometric tolerance), which mainly depends on the manufacturing and assembly quality of the spindle and bearing.
② Dynamic and static stiffness: mainly determined by the bending stiffness of the main shaft, the stiffness and damping of the bearing.

Lubricating oil is often used to reduce the working temperature of bearings. The lubrication methods include oil-gas lubrication, oil-liquid circulation lubrication, oil mist lubrication and injection lubrication. When using these methods, pay attention to the following points:
1. When using oil circulation lubrication, ensure that the oil volume of the constant temperature oil tank of the main shaft is sufficient. The advantage of circulating lubrication is that it can reduce friction heating and absorb part of the heat of the main shaft assembly under the condition of meeting the lubrication.
